DSS Operatives Whisk El-Zakzaky, Wife
Operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS) on Friday whisked away Ibraheem El-Zakzaky, leader of the Islamic Movement of Nigeria (IMN), popularly known as Shiites.
Naija News understands that the DSS operatives whisked away El-Zakzaky and his wife upon their arrival at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital.
El-Zakzaky and his wife arrived at the international airport in Abuja at 11:40am, Friday.
Naija News understands that El-Zakzaky and his wife Zeenat were immediately whisked away after the Ethiopian Airlines flight conveying them touched down.
The DSS operatives were said to have arrived at the airport with an ambulance which was used to whisk away the Shiite leader through the presidential wing of the airport.
This comes after Naija News had reported that El-Zakzaky returned to Nigeria without getting medical attention in India.
Recall that El-Zakzaky, his wife, some family members and security operatives had left the country on Monday but 48 hours after he landed in India, the cleric raised the alarm that he was being frustrated.
However, the federal government had refuted his claim, accusing the Shiite leader of violating the terms of the Kaduna high court which granted him medical leave.
