Kidnapped Provost Regains Freedom In Benue
The Benue state Police Command on Friday said the kidnapped Provost of the Katsina-Ala College of Education, Tsavwua Gborigyo, has regained freedom.
Naija News understands that the Command’s Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP. Ms Catherine Anene, told made this known on Thursday, August 15.
Anene in her statement said that the provost has already reunited with his family members.
Recall that the provost was kidnapped at Ihugh in the Vandiekya Local Government Area of the state. He was kidnapped by unknown gunmen on his way from a burial ceremony on Aug. 9.
Anene disclosed in his statement that the provost regained his freedom without payment of any ransom.
However, the Police PRO said investigations were ongoing to apprehend the kidnappers and other criminal elements terrorising the state.
She went ahead to promise to shield the informant with relevant information.
