Residents of Yimirmigza village in Kautikari ward, Chibok local government area of Borno, today, scampered for there life when suspected Boko Haram terrorists laid siege on their village. The attack is coming less than five hours after Nigerian Presidency disclosed that Leah Sharibu, the Christian Dapchi Secondary Schoolgirl, kidnapped by Boko Haram for about 3 years, was still alive.
2. Presidency Gives Latest Update On Leah Sharibu
The Presidency on Saturday revealed that Leah Sharibu, the Dapchi schoolgirl still held by Boko Haram, is still alive while the federal government continue to negotiate her release. This was revealed in a statement by the Senior Special Assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu.
3. Buhari Departs Japan For Nigeria
President Muhammadu Buhari on Saturday departed Japan for Nigeria after a successful participation in the 7th Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD7). Naija News reports that Buhari had last Sunday departed Abuja for Japan to participate in his second TICAD summit.

Nigeria’s most populous city, Lagos, has been ranked as the most dangerous city in the world. This was made known in a report by the Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU).
5. Kogi Elections: IPAC Accuses INEC Of Working For Governor Yahaya Bello
Kogi state Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC) has accused the resident electoral commissioner of INEC, Prof. James Apam, in the state of working with Yahaya Bello in the state to upturn the upcoming governorship election on November 16th, 2019. Naija News learnt that the political parties made the accusation after they walked out of the stakeholders’ meeting organized by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
6. President Muhammadu Buhari Seeks End To Tiv-Jukun Crisis
President Muhammadu Buhari has pleaded with all the leaders of both Tiv-Jukun Crisis to seek modalities to end the crises in communities. Naija News Understands that presidential plea comes after a Catholic priest, Rev. Fr. David Tanko was ambushed and killed at Kpankufu Village on Wukari Road in Taraba state.
7. Mosque: Ganduje To Take Strong Action Against Wike
Governor Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano State has vowed to sue Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State over the demolition of Rainbow Town Central Mosque located at the Trans-Amadi Area of Port Harcourt. Naija News recalls that Muslim leaders in Port Harcourt had accused Wike of sending bulldozers aided by thugs and mobile policemen to pull down the Trans-Amadi Central Mosque on Tuesday 20th August 2019.
8. What NYSC Did To 50 Corp Members
The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) says it has arrested and handed over 50 unqualified graduates who are currently corp members to the Nigerian Police. Naija News understands that the corp members were arrested and handed over to the Police for allegedly attempting to register in the Batch B Stream II exercise with fake certificates at the orientation camps across the country.
