Breaking News: Court Grants Sowore Bail

The Court presiding over the case of Sahara Reporters’ publisher and a presidential candidate who participated in the 2019 general election, Omoyele Sowore on Tuesday granted him bail.

Naija News recalls that Sowore was earlier arraigned before the court over alleged treason case that is not unconnected to the planned ‘RevolutionNow’ protest.

Femi Falana, SAN, Sowore’s counsel told the court that since the detention order has expired and application for renewal has been withdrawn, the court should make a consequential order and release Sowore.

He also said; “If the court wants him and I will produce him (Sowore).”

Falana said that the DSS was illegal and not the creation of National Security Act.
