Just In: Court Sacks Kogi APC Federal Lawmaker
Honourable Mohammed Lawal representing Ajaokuta Federal Constituency of Kogi state has been removed by the Court of Appeal sitting in Abuja.
In its ruling, the court ordered the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC to conduct rerun elections in 21 polling units in the constituency.
The appeal was filed by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)’s candidate, Aloysius Okino.
Naija News understands that the verdict comes days after the Appeal Court sacked the APC member representing Lokoja/Kogi federal constituency in green chambers and declared Barrister Shaba Isah Ibrahim of the PDP winner of the election.
Similarly, the Appeal Court sitting in Enugu has declared Honourable Obinna Chidoka of the PDP as the duly elected House of Representatives member representing Idemili North and Idemili South federal constituency.
