Nigerians React As Supreme Court Dismisses Atiku’s Appeal Against Buhari
The Supreme Court on Wednesday dismissed the case instituted by Atiku Abubakar and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) against the 2019 election victory of President Muhammadu Buhari, candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The apex court, ruled against the PDP and its candidate and in favour of the APC and its candidate. It noted that the suit instituted by Atiku and the PDP lacked merit.
The seven-man panel of the court, headed by the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Tanko Mohammed in a unanimous judgement, affirmed that President Muhammadu Buhari was validly elected as Nigeria’s President in the February 23 presidential election.
The Supreme Court panel, however, said it will give reasons for its decision at a later date.
Meanwhile, several Nigerians have reacted to the verdict of the Supreme Court. Here are some of the reactions below:

It’s now quite obvious that the farce of a Democracy being practised under APC and Buhari may not end anytime soon as the CJN has for the FIRST TIME in any Democratic history in Nigeria departed from norm and handpicked Judges to preside over the Atiku appeal at the SC.
