Leicester VS Arsenal: Xhaka Not Ready To Play – Emery
Arsenal manager, Unai Emery, has revealed that the club’s former manager, Granit Xhaka, will not play against Leicester City on Saturday.
The Gunners manager while addressing the media on Friday, confirmed that Xhaka told him he does not feel he can feature in the Saturday clash.
Emery, when asked if Xhaka was ready to return for the North London side, said, “not yet”.
“I spoke with him on Tuesday for how he is feeling now and his mind because he is training well, but he said to me he can’t play. We are going to wait.”
The Swiss international has not played since the outburst at the Emirates and is reportedly keen to leave the club in Arsenal.
Xhaka has already been replaced as captain by Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
