Live Updates: 2019 Bayelsa Governorship Election Results From Collation Centre

The collation and announcement of results of the Bayelsa State governorship election will commence today, Sunday, at the State collation centre.

Voting officially ended at 2:00 pm in yesterday, November 16, 2019, Guber election.

Naija News reports that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) had fixed Saturday for the Bayelsa and Kogi States Guber polls.

Results from the election will determine who would take over from Governor Seriake Dickson and govern Bayelsa for the next four years.

There are eight local governments (LGAs), 105 Registration Areas and 1,804 Polling Units in Bayelsa State.

The governorship election was keenly contested between David Lyon of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Senator Douye Diri of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
