Why Women Should Stop The Use Of Tissue Paper After Using The Toilet – Medical Expert

An Indonesian medical expert, Ibu Isti, has said it is unadvisable for individuals to use tissue paper to clean their genitals after using the toilet.

Isti who advised that it is better to use water linked frequent use of ’tissue paper’ popularly known as ‘toilet roll’ to one of the root causes of rashes and cervical cancer in women.

She added that water would help to reduce the effect of the infection from the toilet.

This the Indonesian traditional health specialist stated this during the 2019 Beauty West Africa Exhibition in Lagos.

Ibu Isti disclosed that tissue paper is made from recycled paper and gives dioxin which is an artificial whitener so it is not good for use.”

She explained that dioxins are a group of highly toxic chemical compounds that are harmful to health.

“They can cause problems with reproduction, development, and the immune system. They can also disrupt hormones and lead to cancer,” she said.
