Ganduje vs Sanusi: Fayemi, Masari, Others To Reconcile Kano Gov With Emir
A group of elders led by General Abdulsalami Abubakar (GCFR) has constituted a reconciliation committee to wade into the rift between Governor Abdullahi Gandjue and the Emir of Kano, Muhammad Sanusi II.
Naija News reports that Ganduje and Sanusi had been at loggerheads over the Emir’s refusal to support the governor for a second term.
In a statement signed by Adamu Fika (Wazirin Fika) the committee was tasked with bringing about, full reconciliation and effective resolution of the matter.
According to the press release, two-state Governors are also members of the committee, which include, Gov. Kayode Fayemi and Gov. Aminu Bello Masari of Katsina State.
The statement disclosed that the committee was working with the full understanding and cooperation of the Federal Government and initial contact has been made with His Excellency, the Governor of Kano, Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, as well as with His Highness, the Emir of Kano, Sarki Muhammadu Sanusi II.
