Abdulmumin Jibrin Defeated By PDP’s Ali Datti Yako
Honourable Abdulmumin Jibrin, a member of the All Progressive Congress (APC), has been defeated by Ali Datti of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Jibrin who represented Kiru/Bebeji Federal Constituency of Kano in the eight assembly was sacked by the Court of Appeal in November 2019. Justice Ajoke Adepoju who delivered the judgment said the entire election conducted in the two local governments of Kiru and Bebeji could not stand as the final result contained in Form EC (8)E for the election was mutilated.
Final Election Rerun Results Declared By INEC For 11 Affected States
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Nigeria’s electoral umpire, has announced the final election results from the rerun and supplementary elections conducted in 11 affected states in the country
Naija News had reported earlier that INEC conducted the election at exactly 8 am on Saturday, January 25 amidst tight security.

Boko Haram suicide bombers on Sunday attacked a mosque in Gwoza, Borno state, killing a 12-year-old child and leaving many injured, Naija News understands.
According to The Cable, a security source said the suicide bombers forced their way into the mosque while prayer was ongoing.

The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2019 election, Atiku Abubakar, has reacted to the death of NBA Legend, Kobe Bryant.
Naija News had reported earlier that Kobe Bryant died in a helicopter crash that occurred in Southern California on Sunday morning.
Bryant was among five people aboard the helicopter that crashed with no survivor. He was aged 41.
