Victory At last As Eminem Finally Accepts OSCAR Award After 18 Years
American rap legend, Marshall Mathers popularly known as Eminem made a surprise appearance on stage at the 2020 Oscars.
Naija News Understands that this was Eminem’s first performance at the Oscars. He was reportedly set to perform at the 2003 ceremony but refused the offer as the Academy wanted him to use the censored version of the same track.
Eminem performed his hit song ‘Lose Yourself’ on stage throwing the audience into moments of nostalgia as he received a standing ovation from the who’s who of the entertainment industry including Brad Pitt, Leonardo DiCaprio, Gal Gadot, Grammy winner Billie Ellish, and Anthony Ramos.
The Media mogul also used his performance to officially accept the award he won 18 years ago for the same song. He didn’t show up in protest back then to receive the award because he had issues with the Academy.
It is quite an emotional experience for him as he received the award after 18 years. An excited Eminem took to social media to appreciate and thank the organizers for honouring him.
