Uzodinma Visits Buhari, Seeks Refund Of N32bn
Governor Hope Uzodinma of Imo State has called on the Federal Governor to refund the sum of #32billion which was spent on the Federal Government’s projects by his predecessors.
The Governor made this call on Thursday when he visited President Muhammadu Buhari at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
Uzodinma while speaking with State House correspondents after the meeting with the President noted that he raised the issue with Buhari because Imo was financially distressed.
He said, “About N32bn that was spent on federal roads in the past…Imo is financially distressed.”
The Imo State Governor added that he briefed the president on the state of things in Imo State, he noted that the President gave him attention.
This coming few days after the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Emeka Ihedioha approached the Supreme Court over the judgement that sacked him.
The Supreme Court, however, adjourned its ruling to March 2, to decide if there will be reversal in its ruling.
