23-Year-Old Secondary School Student Jailed For Raping 10-Year-Old Girl

A 23-year-old male student of a secondary school has been found guilty of raping a 10-year-old girl and sentenced to a 14-year prison sentence.

The guy, identified as Ayuba Musa said to be a Senior Secondary School 2 student in Bebeji Local Government Area of Kano State was said to have committed the offence in April, 2017.

He committed the offence on April 19, 2017 after luring the minor to his apartment at Ruwan Kaya Quarters in Tiga Village.

The victim narrated that Ayuba took her to his room, turned on a television set, asked her to fondle him before removing her underwears and penetrated her.

She noted that the unbearable pain she felt made her to open up to her mother after being questioned at home.

Ayuba was convicted by a court sitting at Audu Bako Secretariat in the state capital, which held that prosecution proved its case beyond reasonable doubt and also proved that he committed the offence.
