Coronavirus: See Updated List Of All Countries With Confirmed Cases
The World Health Organisation (WHO) has given an update on the number of laboratory-confirmed cases of COVID-19 (Coronavirus) since the outbreak of the disease in China in January 2020.
The World Health Organisation (WHO) in a situation report released on Sunday, 8th March, 2020 says 100 countries have now reported laboratory-confirmed cases of COVID-19.
The WHO also confirmed that eight new countries/territories/areas including Bulgaria, Costa Rica, Faroe Islands, French Guiana, Maldives, Malta, Martinique, and Republic of Moldova have reported cases of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.
Globally, WHO revealed that 105,586 confirmed (3656 new) exist. In China, 80,859 confirmed (46 new)
3100 deaths (27 new). Outside of China, 24,727 confirmed (3610 new) 484 deaths (71 new).
The World Health body says it has issued a consolidated package of existing preparedness and
response guidance for countries to enable them to slow and stop COVID-19 transmission and save lives.
It is also urging all countries to prepare for the potential arrival of COVID-19 by readying emergency response systems; increasing capacity to detect and care for patients; ensuring hospitals have the
space, supplies and necessary personnel; and developing life-saving medical interventions.

Meanwhile, this online medium earlier reported that Nigeria’s Minister of Health, Osagie Ehanire, on Monday, confirmed a second case of the deadly coronavirus (COVID-19) in the country.
Ehanire said the victim had contact with the Italian that brought coronavirus to Nigeria.
