Naira Marley Is Nigeria’s Most-Viewed Artist On YouTube For 2019 (See Top 10)

Azeez Fashola, better known by his stage name, Naira Marley has emerged Nigeria’s most-viewed artiste on YouTube for the year 2019.

This was disclosed on Wednesday in Lagos during the launch of two new digital services by the video-sharing platform in Nigeria.

The list released contained names of the top 10 most viewed artists in Nigeria for the year 2019. Amazingly, American singer, Chris Brown was also listed in the number 6 position.

The full list of artists in the particular order as released are:

3. Burna Boy

4. Kizz Daniel

5. Teni

6. Zlatan

7. Chris Brown

8. Olamide

9. Wizkid

10. Mercy Chinwo

During the event, Naira Marley who was present as a celebrity guest spoke on his style of music and what inspires him.

“I listen to different types of music: Slow Jams, Fuji, Christian and Muslim songs, Indian songs like those in Bollywood,” he said.

“But a lot of things inspire me: a bit of the drums, a little bit of Fuji, a little bit of proper Yoruba songs.”

The 25-year-old singer was made popular since his episode with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) over allegations of cybercrime and has gone ahead to attract a lot of followers who call themselves ‘Marlians.’
