Sanusi: Police Arrests Fake Soldier In Awe
Men of the Nigerian Police Force have arrested a suspected fake soldier in Awe on Friday, the town which is playing host to the former Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II.
He was arrested with complete army camouflage uniform and pairs of boots in a private lodge in the area.
The suspect, when questioned, noted that he was on terminal leave and had come to Awe to have an audience with former Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II.
He was taken into detention by the DPO of Awe, SP Augustine, for further investigation. The spokesperson of the Nasarawa State Police command, Rahman Nansel, is yet to make a statement on the development.
Security has been increased in Awe, where the dethroned Emir of Kano, Sanusi II was taken to since his dethronement by Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje of Kano state.
However, in a developing story, the Court has granted an interim order releasing deposed Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi from confinement/detention.
The order was granted on Friday, 13th March 2020 by Justice Anwuli Chikere of the Federal High Court in Abuja.
