Buhari Sends Message To Lawan Over Mother’s Death

President Muhammadu Buhari has commiserated with the victims of the Abule-Ado explosion in Lagos state which occurred on Sunday.

According to information gathered, no less than 17 persons have been confirmed dead while many others are injured and several properties destroyed.

As earlier reported by Naija News, up to 200 houses were on Sunday morning, destroyed after the massive explosion rocked Abule Ado in Festac town area of Lagos State, Nigeria’s commercial city.

The pipeline explosion which happened at about 8: 50 am, was said to have affected residents of Surulere, Ijegun, Ikotun, Egbeda, Abule Ado, Okota, Isheri Olofin, FESTAC, Satellite Town.

Reacting to the development, President Buhari in a statement on Sunday signed his spokesperson, Garba Shehu, said the news is saddening and called on all relevant authorities to unravel the cause of the incident.

The statement read: “I have received with sadness the news of this unfortunate incident which caused loss of lives and property.

“A misfortune of whatever scale anywhere is a tragedy to the country, and while the NNPC makes efforts to determine the cause of the incident, I send my deepest and profound sympathises to the victims, their families, government and people of Lagos State.”
