Gov. Sanwo-Olu, President Buhari Under Fire Over Abule Ado Incident
The Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu has come under attack following his meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari over the explosion as Abule Ado, Lagos, on Sunday.
The Governor of Lagos State on Monday took to his Twitter account to share photos of his visit to the President at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
Sanwo in the post wrote: “Today, I met with HE, President @MBuhari to brief him on the unfortunate incident at Abule Ado. The core plan is to provide relief, rebuild the affected areas and avoid future occurrence.”
Some Nigerians have taken to the microblogging platform to share their views about Sanwo-Olu’s visit to the president.
The President was also attacked for not visiting the victims of the incident and the scene of the incident for assessment.
Some noted that former President Olusegun Obasanjo in January 2002, visited Lagos after the Ikeja Cantonment explosions.
The incident which happened on Sunday has led to the death of twenty people while many others are currently receiving treatment in hospitals.
