Shehu Sani Reacts To Cancellation Of 2020 National Sports Festival
Human rights activist and former senator in the 8th National Assembly, Shehu Sani has praised the Federal Government of Nigeria over the cancellation of the 2020 National Sports Festival.
Naija News had reported earlier that the federal government of Nigeria has bowed to pressure and postponed the National Sports Festival tagged Edo 2020.
The development was confirmed in a series of tweets by the Minister of Sports, Sunday Dare on Tuesday.
Reacting to the cancellation of the sports activity, Shehu Sani took to his verified Twitter page to applaud the government, noting that Coronavirus is not a thing to joke with.
He said: “The Cancellation of the 2020 National Sports Festival by the Federal Government is commendable. That Convid with No 19 jersey no be joke.”

In another news earlier, an Appeal Court sitting in Abuja, the nation’s capital, has restrained the All Progressive Congress (APC), Nigeria’s ruling party from executing the judgement of a federal capital territory high court which ordered the suspension of Adams Oshiomhole as national chairman of the party.
