COVID-19: Niger Lifts Ban On Juma’at Prayers Despite 2 Confirmed Cases
Niger state government despite having two confirmed cases of Coronavirus (COVID-19) in the state has on Friday morning lifted the earlier announced lockdown order to allow the weekly Juma’at congregational prayers.
The announcement was made in a tweet on the early hour of Friday on the Twitter handle of the Niger State governor, Abubakar Sani Bello.
The tweet reads: ”The sermon and prayers are to be conducted within thirty minutes; Muslims are advised to adhere strictly to the precautionary measures taken by Government on the containment of coronavirus pandemic in the State.”

Meanwhile, 35 new cases of the coronavirus infection have been confirmed in Nigeria by the Nigeria Center for Disease Control on Thursday.
