COVID-19: President, Trump Attacked For Suggesting Use Of Disinfectant To Clean Up Lungs
United States President, Donald Trump has asked people to consider the use of disinfectants to clean up the lungs as part of measures to fight coronavirus.
This he said during the White House coronavirus briefing on Thursday.
He also wondered whether exposing the body of coronavirus patients to sunlight could help in their care.
He said “Supposing we hit the body with a tremendous — whether it’s ultraviolet or just very powerful light,”
“And I think you said that hasn’t been checked, but we’re going to test it?” he added, turning to Mr. Bryan, who had returned to his seat. “And then I said, supposing you brought the light inside the body, either through the skin or some other way.”
Trump further spoke about the possible benefits of “injecting” disinfectants into the body to the fight against the virus.
“And then I see the disinfectant where it knocks it out in a minute — one minute,” he said, before asking: “Is there a way we can do something like that by injection inside, or almost a cleaning?
“Because you see it gets in the lungs and it does a tremendous number on the lungs, so it would be interesting to check that.”
However, his claims has been dismissed by medical expert and Disinfectant manufacturers who stated that Disinfectant are very harmful to the body.
