Coronavirus: Presidential Aide Drops Hint That Buhari May Extend COVID-19 Lockdown

The current lockdown put in place by the government of Nigeria may be extended due to the rising cases of the coronavirus (COVID-19) infection.
The probability of the extension was noted in the hint dropped by Lauretta Onochie, a social media aide to President Muhammadu Buhari.
Onochie in a tweet on Sunday, while responding to a question had said Buhari may be forced to extend the lockdown if Nigerians refuse to abide by the current stay at home order.
The Twitter user had asked: “Do you think the lockdown might be extended?” and she responded: “Unless we stay home NOW, the #Lockdown, I would imagine, would be expanded and continue to be extended. The earlier we stay off the streets, the better for all of us.
“That’s how we can put the #AlmightyCoronaVirus at bay!” she tweeted.

Thank you for your question. Unless we stay home NOW, the #Lockdown, I would imagine, would be expanded and continue to be extended.
