Fani-Kayode Reacts As Buhari Extends Lagos, Ogun, FCT Lockdown
Former Minister of Aviation Femi Fani-Kayode has reacted to the extension of the lockdown in Lagos, Ogun and FCT for another one week to curb the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19).
Naija News recalls that President Muhammadu Buhari had declared the extension in a nationwide broadcast on Monday.
Buhari explained that he consulted widely before taking the decision.
He praised Nigerians for their patience and cooperation since the lockdown began four weeks ago.
The president further advised Nigerians to adhere to the guidelines of the presidential task force on COVID-19 and the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).
Reacting in a post on his Twitter page, Fani-Kayode urged Nigerians to stay strong and stay safe.
“Another one week of “lockdown” in Abuja, Ogun and Lagos and total lockdown with immediate effect in Kano?
“Stay strong and stay safe folks: we shall survive it and in the end, we shall prevail!” Fani-Kayode wrote.
