Former Ogun Gov. Gbenga Daniels CPS Is Dead

Chief Press Secretary to Gbenga Daniels, the former governor of Ogun state, Ayo Giwa is dead.

Giwa died yesterday evening after a brief illness.

His death was confirmed and announced by the former governor himself today

He said “I received the very shocking news of the sudden death of our own Ayo Giwa last night after a brief illness,”

He noted that Giwa was one of the original Gateway Front Media team since 2001.

Daniel said after he was elected in 2003, Giwa became the Chief Press Secretary of a former Speaker of the Ogun State House of Assembly, Hon Titi Oseni-Gomez.

He said, “He later became my CPS in 2011, the position he held until his demise last night.”

He went on to describe Giwa as a friendly and pleasant personality.

Daniel noted that Giwa concentrated on his job “with dedication and loyalty.”

He described as most unfortunate, the fact that the deceased Giwa passed on at this time; saying, “all we can do is to pray for the family he left behind that God will grant them the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.”
