Buhari Gifts Former Driver Eid-ul-Fitr Clothes, Money And Others – (Video)
The President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari, has sent gifts to a former driver of his children in the 1960s.
In a now-viral video, a man who revealed his name as Sani Adamu, an ex-serviceman with the code number 4913 was seen thanking President Buhari as he received some gifts of clothes to celebrate 2020 Eid-ul-Fitr.
According to Mallam Adamu, he has lived with President Muhammadu Buhari back 1964 in Lagos State for a space of eight years.
He also disclosed that he used to driver Buhari’s children to school while he was the governor of Borno, in Maiduguri.
Expressing his gratitude, Mallam Adamu said, “I have received the bountiful gifts to celebrate Sallah with, and I am grateful, may Allah uplift the President, I am so happy and grateful,”
As seen in the video, the gift consists of four packs of clothes (Baban Riga), caps, prayer rosery and bundles of money.
Speaking on the event, the Personal Assistant on New Media to President Buhari, Bashir Ahmad who posted the video on his Twitter handle said; “In the first instance, Mr. Sani Adamu has been identitied and visited by
@DanBorno and friends (we are grateful). New clothes to celebrate the forthcoming Eid el-Fitr have also been sent to him. More to follow in sha Allah. Thank you for bringing our attention.”
