Shehu Sani Speaks On Reopening Schools In Nigeria
The former lawmaker representing Kaduna North Senatorial District in the National Assembly, Shehu Sani, has reacted to the call for schools to resume in Nigeria.
Sani in his post on Twitter noted that the move to open schools, particularly primary and secondary schools is too early and dangerous.
This is coming after the National Coordinator, Concerned Advocates for Good Governance, Olusegun Bamgbose, called on President Muhammadu Buhari to open schools.
The Lagos based lawyer had charged the President to allow JSS 3, SS3 and final year students in tertiary institutions to resume.
Shehu Sani in his reaction had noted that no parent will psychologically be at peace to let their children out at times like this.
The former lawmaker tweeted, “It’s too early and dangerous to contemplate reopening schools, particularly primary and secondary schools at this time.
“No parent will psychologically be at peace to let their children out at times like this. We can make up for the loss of time not of life.”
