Tragedy: Headless Mother And Her Baby Found At A Primary School In Ile-Ife
Remain of two persons, suspected to be of a mother and her child have been discovered at a primary school in Osun State on Wednesday, May 27.
According to reports by residents in the community where the bodies were found, unknown persons may have dropped off the beheaded bodies at an evening hour of the previous day.
Naija News learnt that the bodies were found at the front of a primary school in Ile-Ife, Osun State.
Giving an update on the incident, the State Police PRO, Yemisi Opalola, told newsmen yesterday that the beheaded bodies were abandoned directly opposite the AUD Primary School, Isale Agbara, Ile-Ife.
He further revealed that residents have believed that the bodies were dropped at the location on Tuesday, leaving the mother without wears while the baby was on a diaper.
Speaking about resident’s testimony, Opalola said, “They explained that the bodies were without clothes, while the baby was wearing a diaper.
“When the corpses were found, we contacted officials of the local government council in the town and they have evacuated the bodies and deposited them in the morgue,”
He, however, noted that the state Commissioner of Police, Johnson Kokumo, has issued an order of thorough investigation into the incident.
