COVID-19: WHO Announces Latest Update Of Cases, Recoveries, Death In Africa
The UN health agency revealed that 73,000 people have recovered from the COVID-19 across 54 countries in Africa.
The Regional Office of the World Health Organization in Brazzaville, Congo, on Friday revealed that the number of coronavirus cases in Africa has risen to over 168,464 in the past 24 hours.
The UN health agency further stated that 73,000 people have recovered from the COVID-19 across 54 countries in Africa.
WHO revealed this development on their Twitter account on Friday morning.
According to the tweet, COVID-19 has killed 4,700 people as of today.
“Over 168,464 confirmed COVID-19 cases on the African continent – with more than 73,000 recoveries & 4,700 deaths.”
The WHO African region coronavirus dashboard showed that South Africa, Egypt, and Nigeria have continued to top the list of countries with the highest reported cases.
Meanwhile, Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, on Thursday evening confirmed three hundred and fifty new cases of Coronavirus in Nigeria.
