FG Reacts As Resumption Date For Schools Trend On Social Media
No resumption date for schools yet – FG tells Nigerians
The federal government of Nigeria has urged members of the public to disregard the dates circulating on social media for schools across the country to resume.
Naija News understands that following the gradual easing of the coronavirus-induced lockdown across the country, some reports have been insinuating that a specific date has been chosen by the government for the resumption of schools.
However, the Federal Ministry of Education in a statement on its Twitter account on Thursday, told the public to disregard the dates in circulation as fake news.
It said:
“Fake News Alert!!!
Kindly disregard all unconfirmed news not originating from the Ministry’s Official Media Handles.
The Official date for Resumption of Schools Nationwide is yet to be confirmed.”

He wrote: “The Federal Ministry of Education has asked Nigerians to kindly disregard all unconfirmed news circulating on the date for Resumption of Schools nationwide, official date for resumption is yet to be confirmed, the Ministry says on its Twitter handle @NigEducation. RT!”
