COVID-19: We Have Left The Severe Stage – Pope Francis

Pope Francis, leader of the Catholic Church, has declared that worst stage of the COVID-19 crises in Italy is over.

This, he stated while he was addressing the Catholic congregation for the first time at Saint Peter’s Square, Rome, since a ban was placed on religious congregation due to COVID-19 in the country.

It was declared yesterday that there were no case of COVID-19 anymore within the Vatican city.

“Your presence in the square is a sign that in Italy the acute phase of the epidemic is over,” Francis told those assembled for his weekly Angelus prayer.

He however urged the congregation not to celebrate too soon and be careful.

Matteo Bruni Vatican spokesman in a statement yesterday said the last person who tested positive has now tested Negative.
