Coronavirus: Obaseki Confirms Five Deaths, 13 Discharged
Governor Godwin Obaseki on Monday confirmed five death of Coronavirus patients
Governor Godwin Obaseki-led government on Monday announced the death of five Coronavirus patients in the state.
The state Governor in a post on Twitter noted that thirteen Coronavirus patients were discharged on Monday.
Obaseki further stated that most patients that died from Coronavirus were above 60 years and the total number of COVID-19 deaths recorded in the State stands at 24.
He tweeted, “We have recorded 5 new COVID-19 deaths, bringing the number of fatalities to 24.”
“1 of the deaths is at Stella Obasanjo Hospital and 4 at UNBTH. Most of the deaths are persons above 60 years.”
“Also, 13 patients have been discharged. Please, obey safety guidelines and stay safe.”
The State has a total of 401 confirmed cases of the infection.
Meanwhile, the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, on Monday confirmed two hundred and sixty new cases of Coronavirus in Nigeria.
