The National Human Rights Commission, NHRC, has reported that a young child has been abandoned to die in Idumota, Lagos State after been struck by thunder.

“The child who was struck by thunder has a sibling too. The mother of the child struck by thunder was also struck and she died. The child is currently receiving treatment at the hospital.”
“We will continue to update on this case. Nigerian children deserve better. We must sit up.”
