Man Rapes, Murders His Brother’s Wife In Zamfara
Prior to the incident, reports had it that the young man who is only 25 years of age had warned his brother that he will one day killed his wife.
According to the report confirmed to newsmen on Monday noon by Zamfara State Police Command, a middle-aged man who resides in Damba, a community in the state forcefully had carnal knowledge of his older sibling’s wife, killed her in the process.
Prior to the incident, reports had it that the young man who is only 25 years of age had warned his brother that he will one day killed his wife.
Speaking on the incident, the state’s Police Public Relations Officer, SP Mohammed Shehu, disclosed that the young man whose name is identified as Aminu Bala has been arrested.
Shehu noted that the suspect following his arrest has confessed to raping and killing his brother’s wife, Hauwa Iliyasu, at their residence in Damba area, in Maradun Local Government Area of the state.
The suspect’s arrest was made after residents reportedly alerted the police as the Hauwa’s husband, Kabiru Bala was said to be away when the incident happened, Naija News learnt.
“On June 15, 2020, a report was received by the police that a housewife, Hauwau Iliyasu, 25, a resident of the Damba area, was raped and killed,” Shehu revealed.
He added that, “the police, upon the receipt of the information, rushed to the scene and met a woman lying in a pool of her own blood.”
“The whole body was butchered with a machete and she was evacuated to the Yariman Bakura Specialist Hospital, Gusau, where she was confirmed dead.”
The PPRO revealed that the command is currently carrying out a thorough interrogation on the suspect to confirmed other crimes he might have committed before killing his brother’s wife.
Meanwhile, Naija News had reported earlier that a student, Grace Oshiagwu, of the Oke Ogun Polytechnic, Saki has been raped and murdered.
The incident reportedly happened within a church mission building, located at Idi-Ori, Sasa-Ojoo, in Akinyele Local Government Area of Oyo State on Saturday.
