Naija News reported that Agboola Ajayi took the drastic decision before a show-up by the state commissioner of police Bolaji Salami who prevented him from moving his properties out of the state government house.
However, While speaking on his alleged next line of action, Agbola said that he would not resign his position as the deputy governor of the state because he was elected by the people, and he is still serving their mandate.
“It’s my people that voted for me. They did not ask me to resign, so I remain the deputy governor of this state. I was duly elected as a deputy governor,”.
Meanwhile, According to a report gathered from an aide to the governor , Rotimi Akeredolu, who spoke anonymously, accused the deputy governor and his aides of looting government properties as well as attempting to sneak out some secret documents.
Naija News recalls that Agboola also joined the opposition party in the state, The Peoples Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
