FG Gives Update On Airport Reopening, Speaks On Price Hike
As the Federal Government prepares to reopen the country’s airspace to commercial flights, a simulation trial of domestic flights has been scheduled to be carried out at the Murtala Muhammed Airport in Lagos this Saturday.
This was announced yesterday by Hadi Sirika, Minister of Aviation, while addressing the audience during the daily briefing of the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19 in Abuja.
According to Sirika, ticket prices would not skyrocket as a lot of people are assuming.
People had suspected that there may be a price hike following newly introduced COVID social distancing rule.
Sirika said everything possible was being done to ensure that there is no price hike
He said even if there was, they will not be something that passengers cannot afford.
“Flight trials will be demonstrated on Saturday in Lagos airport ahead of the resumption of operations,” he said.
