COVID-19: PDP Sympathizes With Fayemi For Testing Positive

The Ekiti State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party has sympathised with the state Governor, Kayode Fayemi, over his COVID-19 status.
PDP in a statement released through the Secretary of the State Caretaker Committee, Diran Odeyemi, wished the governor quick recovery, he called on people closer to the governor to self-isolate and undergo testing.
Odeyemi who noted that testing positive for Coronavirus is not a death sentence further stated that the state Governor will surely recover and come out negative.
The opposition party called on the people of the state to keep their faith with the COVID-19 precautionary measures outlined by Governor Fayemi’s administration, bearing in mind that the virus is real and yet to have any cure.
“As a party, we wish the governor well. We pray that he recovers quickly.”
“We also wish to call on our people in the length and breadth of Ekiti State to continue to observe the COVID-19 protocols so as to keep low the rate of infection in the State,” Odeyemi said.
