Edo 2020: Obaseki Reveals More Details On Why Oshiomhole Wants Him Removed As Governor

The Governor of Edo State, Godwin Obaseki has given more reasons why he believes Adams Oshiomhole, the former National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), hates him.

The governor while advancing reasons for the disagreements between himself and his former boss, explained that Oshiomhole is frustrated because he didn’t allow him to control the governance of the state.

Speaking through his spokesperson, Crusoe Osagie, Obaseki claimed that Oshiomole is a desperate politician trying to impose a stooge as governor in the state to save his political career.

The governor who claimed Oshiomhole failed in his ambition to hijack the current administration also accused Oshiomhole of renting equipment just to commission a fake hospital project.

“He has failed to answer a simple question which is; why did heavily guarded trucks come in the dead of the night to remove the equipment in the hospital which President Buhari had commissioned just one day after the commissioning?

“Why was the hospital not opened to the public for the remaining days of his tenure after the hospital had been commissioned?,” the statement noted.

Obaseki added that Oshiomhole told the hospital equipment supplier in Lagos “to loan him some equipment just for the commissioning and the equipment was returned to the owner after the commissioning ceremony”.

It will be recalled Oshiomhole had earlier claimed he made a mistake by supporting Obaseki to emerge as Governor of Edo State.

Naija News reports that Obaseki who is seeking a second term in office is the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and is expected to slug it out with other candidates including Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) on September 19.
