289 Nigerians To Arrive From US Today

Two Hundred and eighty-nine Stranded Nigerians in the United States of America are expected to return to the country later today.

The flight manifest, Sanda stated, includes 135 males, 142 females and 12 infants.

However in another related development,The Chairman of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission NIDCOM, Abike Dabiri-Erewa, has lamented over situation currently experienced by Nigerian students on Scholarship in the United Kingdom.
According to her, due to the inability of the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC to pay the allowances, tuition, and other incentives of students the student on its scholarship scheme, a good number of the citizens have become beggars on the street.
Dabiri-Erewa in the statement made available to newsmen on Tuesday, July 28 through NIDCOM spokesperson Gabriel Odu, urged the NDDC management team to act with immediate effect to address the challenges.
