Corruption: Northern Group Defends AGF Malami, Gives Reason
A Northern group identified as “Zuru Patriotic Forum” has defended the integrity of the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami (SAN) over the corruption allegations against him, describing the “media attacks on him as sponsored.”
Naija News reports that the Northern group also distanced itself from the positions of the Kebbi Concerned Citizens (KCC) on the matter, adding that they are biased and have fallen for the sponsored accusations against the AGF.

Members of the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN) in Kano State have been directed to sell fuel at N150 per litre.
This was made known in a statement by the chapter’s Chairman, Bashir Danmallam.
According to Danmallam, the decision was taken following the new price modulation announced by the Petroleum Products Marketing Company (PPMC)

The Lagos State government on Wednesday cancelled the controversial 2018 land use charge and reverted to the pre-2018 land use charges.
The government also disclosed all accrued penalties for land use charge for 2017, 2018, and 2019, totalling N5.6bn have been waived for the debtors.

China Speaks On Plans To Take Over Nigeria Over $500m Loan
The government of China has denied any plan to take over Nigeria as part of the loan agreement signed between the two countries.
The Asian country also denied there was any clause in the loan agreement between the two countries which allows it to take over Nigeria’s sovereignty in the case of any default in the payment of the loan.

The Edo State House of Assembly Speaker, Hon. Francis Okiye has revealed that a sitting governor is plotting to forcefully take over the State Assembly.
Speaking on Wednesday during plenary, Okiye alleged that stakeholders in his party were set to use a fake mace to take over the Assembly.
While calling on President Muhammadu Buhari to urgently call the governor to desist from the plot, the speaker said the plan is in cahoots with the former deputy speaker, Assemblyman Yekini Idaiye, who recently declared support for the candidate of the APC.
