Zamfara: Food Poisoning Kills Family of Seven
The Zamfara State Police has confirmed that food poisoning has killed a family of seven at Auki village, Bungudu LGA of Zamfara State.
Naija News reports that the family of seven comprised of two housewives and their five children.
A statement issued by the spokesman of the Police Command, Mohammed Shehu, disclosed that the family died after taking their dinner, which was mistakenly cooked with a poisonous salt.
He said the family developed stomach disorder immediately after eating the food.
The police spokesperson said three members of the family died instantly while the other four were rushed to Bungudu General Hospital, where they later died.
