They’re followed by a trip to champions Liverpool, who Arsenal also face in the Community Shield on August 29.
Mikel Arteta and his squad will also face both Manchester clubs away from home in the first seven Premier League games.
The first north London derby of the season takes place at Tottenham in December, and the Gunners welcome Spurs to the Emirates in March.
This season’s Boxing Day fixture is a big one – with Arsenal first league meeting with Chelsea since beating them in the FA Cup final.
Due to the North London side participation in the Europa League group stage, the following games are subject to movement from Saturday to Sunday: Leicester (h), Man United (a), Aston Villa (h), Wolves (h), Tottenham (a) and Burnley (h).
