Coronavirus: NCDC Confirms 138 New COVID-19 Cases In Nigeria
The Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC) on Sunday evening, 30th August 2020, confirmed 138 new cases of coronavirus disease infection in Nigeria.
Naija News reports that the new cases of COVID-19 infection were confirmed via a statement on the official Twitter handle of the health agency.
The development brings the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Nigeria to 53,865 which includes 41,513 discharged cases and 1,013 deaths.
Below is the breakdown of the latest cases according to states with Plateau State recording the highest number of new confirmed cases, followed by Lagos and Ebonyi State, southeast Nigeria.
