Lagos: Obafemi Emerges APC Candidate For Kosofe II Constituency
Saheed Obafemi has been declared the winner of the All Progressives Congress (APC) primary for the Kosofe Constituency II by-election into the Lagos State House of Assembly.
Naija News reports that the APC primary election was held at the Kosofe Local Government Secretariat.
Obafemi was declared the winner by Abubakar Masari, the representative of APC National Working Committee.
Masari said: “I, Abubakar Masari, having certified the process through the election and was unopposed, and having won from the wards. Saheed Obafemi, being the only APC aspirant, has polled 34,012 votes. I hereby declare Saheed Obafemi winner and returned elected.”
Obafemi was the Assistant Secretary of the Lagos State APC.
Speaking after he was declared winner, the former assistant scribe called on party members to come out en masse to vote during the by-election.
“I have the capacity, understanding and rudiments in solving the challenges of Kosofe Constituency 11,” he said.
He promised to serve the interest of the electorate if voted into power.
Obafemi said he would advocate for better health and solutions to environmental challenges, among others.
