Former Minister of Aviation Femi Fani-Kayode has commended the Sultan of Sokoto, Dr Saad Abubakar, for calling for an end to the killings in Southern Kaduna.
Naija News reports that the Sultan of Sokoto, who doubles as the Chairman, Northern Traditional Rulers Council, had condemned the incessant killing in the Southern part of Kaduna State.
The respected monarch in a statement on Monday, September 7, stated that the gruesome murder of innocent lives in the state has to be stopped, describing the killings as “madness”.
Dr Abubakar urged those perpetrating the evil act in the Southern Kaduna to stop, saying, “enough is enough”.
The monarch stated this while speaking during a Council’s Executive meeting in Kaduna on Monday.
According to him, ‘no man in his right senses go on a killing spree of innocent people under whatever guise.’
Reacting in a post on Twitter on Tuesday, Fani-Kayode praised the Sulta for speaking the truth.
He said: “I commend the Sultan for speaking the bitter truth!
I also commend him for having the courage and the fortitude to speak it publicly!
“This statement alone will go a long way in restoring peace and ethnic and religious harmony in the country.”
