Cynthia Morgan Subtly Shoots Her Shot At Falz After EndSARS Memorial March

A former President of the Nigerian Senate, Bukola Saraki, has condemned the continous killing of young Nigerians by operatives of the Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad (FSARS) of the Nigeria Police Force (NPF).

Naija News reports that the Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad (FSARS) chased a young Nigerian to his death last month and today, October 3, it was reported that SARSĀ  officials killed another young Nigerian in Delta State, southeast Nigeria.

It was learned that the SARS operatives allegedly shot the young Nigerian in front of Wetland Hotel, Ughelli in Delta State and left the scene, with the development resurrecting the clamour by Nigerians for the department of the Nigeria Police to be shut. Nigerians called for #ENDSARS in a series on tweets on the micro-blogging site, Twitter on Saturday.

Reacting to the recent activities of the SARS operatives which led to the death of the young Nigerian, Saraki in a series of tweets on Saturday, said “the reports of the continued harassment, illegal arrest, detention and high handedness by rogue cells of the SARS Unit of @PoliceNG against innocent Nigerians – most of them young people – in spite of efforts to reform the Police & raise standards of policing, are disheartening.

“A situation where the officers of @PoliceNG become a threat to the lives and property of the very citizens they swore to protect is condemnable and unacceptable,” he tweeted.

The former Senate President called on the Federal Government led by President Muhammadu Buhari to “immediately put a stop to these reprehensible activities and restructure the unit to better perform its lawful duties of safe guarding the lives and property of the Nigerian people.”

SarakiĀ  tweeted: “I call on the Federal Government to immediately put a stop to these reprehensible activities and restructure the unit to better perform its lawful duties of safeguarding the lives and property of the Nigerian people.”
