2023 Presidency: Ex-Minister Reveals What Igbo Must Do To APC, PDP

Engr. Fidelis Nwankwo, a former minister of State for Health, has called on Igbos to lobby the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the 2023 presidential ticket.

He stated that while speaking to newsmen in Abakaliki, the Ebonyi State capital.

According to the former minister, Igbo’s getting the presidency in 2023 would be easy if the major political parties agree to cede their tickets to the South-East region.

Nwankwo noted that lgbos should emulate what the Yoruba did in 1998 when they picked presidential ticket from the then major political parties.

There have been calls for the PDP and the APC to zone the 2023 presidency to the Southern region of Nigeria.

But some section of Nigerians have specifically made a case for the Igbos to take over from President Muhammadu Buhari.
