Nigerians Make U-Turn, Replace #EndSARS With #EndSWAT As They Kick Against Initiative
In a quick reaction to the introduction of a new police unit, Special Weapons and Tactics Team – (SWAT); Nigerians who are still not satisfied with the decision have started to kick against it, with the Hashtag #EndSWAT.
Recall NaijaNews reported that Mohammed Adamu, the Inspector General of Police (IGP), on Tuesday set up a new tactical unit to replace the disbanded Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS).
In a statement by the Force spokesman, Frank Mba, the new unit is named Special Weapons and Tactics Team – (SWAT).
