#EndSARS: Nigerians Hold Candle Night For Victims Across States, See Videos
Nigerian youths including protesters tonight, have taken to the streets to hold a candle night remembrance service for victims of police brutality in Nigeria.
Recall that for sometime now, the protesters have taken to the streets in various states to agitate for an end to the activities of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS), following the incessant deaths caused by them.
Reacting, the Inspector-general of police, Mohammed Adamu on Sunday, announced that he had disolved the unit, and a few days after, announced the establishment of another unit to replace SARS, Special Weapons and Tactics Team.
Nigerians however, kicked against the idea, saying it was only a disguise and calling for an ouright ban ever since.
Today, the protesters chose to remember fallen hereos who were killed by SARS officials, and candle lights are being held accross various states in honour of them.
Some of them have taken to Twitter to share pictures and videos from the night, as well as the names of some of the victims.
