Okonjo-Iweala Is Candidate With The Best Chance- WTO
The World Trade Organisation on Wednesday noted that the former Minister of Finance, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, has the best chance of emerging as Director-General through consensus.
WTO disclosed this in a post on Twitter after delegates met on Wednesday in Geneva.
WTO spokesperson Keith Rockwell said: “The candidate that had the best chance of attaining a consensus of the membership is Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala of Nigeria. Consultations on the way fwd will start immediately”.
